We cannot tell you what your treatment will cost from this page, and neither can anyone else. What we can do is explain exactly what moves the number, so the estimate makes sense when you get one.
What drives the figure
How much has to move. Mild crowding is a different job from a severe bite problem. More movement means more trays, more months, more appointments.
How long it takes. Aligner treatment runs from around six months to two years depending on the case. Cost tracks time fairly closely.
Whether aligners are the right tool at all. If your case would be better served by braces, we will say so — and the comparison is worth having before cost enters the conversation, because the cheaper appliance that finishes properly beats the pricier one that does not.
You will notice there is no monthly figure on this page. A monthly payment is not a price; it is a price divided by a term you have not been told yet. We would rather give you the total.
Insurance
Most dental plans that include orthodontic benefit work differently from the rest of your coverage, and two things routinely surprise people:
It is usually a lifetime maximum, not annual. A plan may pay a fixed amount toward orthodontics once, ever, per person — it does not reset each January.
It usually pays in installments across treatment rather than in one payment.
Our practice accepts most major insurance plans and most major credit cards, and our staff handle claims and paperwork for you. Bring your details to the first visit and we will check your benefit before you commit to anything.
FSA and HSA
Orthodontic treatment is eligible for both. If you have a flexible spending account this affects timing — FSA funds typically expire at year end, so starting in the autumn can let you use this year’s allowance and next year’s across one course of treatment.

Payment plans
We will build a plan that fits your budget, and you will know what to expect before treatment starts. Nothing about the cost should be a surprise once you have begun.

What to ask us
At your consultation we will give you a total, not a teaser. Ask what it includes — records, retainers at the end, repairs, follow-up. Ask what happens if treatment runs longer than estimated. Ask who treats you at each visit.
At this practice the answer to that last one is the same person every time, which is not true everywhere and is worth knowing when you compare quotes.
